Having lived in Manhattan for nine years, I have a strong appreciation for the design challenges (or just life challenges!) inherent in living in a small space. With no basement, very little closet storage, and generally no room to spare, it's imperative form and function work seamlessly in the smallest of spaces. Check out the rooms below, which all come from homes with less than 1,000 square feet of living space.
