Celebrating 40 in Style!

On a recent trip to California to visit family and friends, we celebrated my brother-in-law and his best friend's 40th birthdays. My sister-in-law and her good friend created an atmosphere that was fun, festive and full of food as evidenced by the Taco Truck.... Yup - that's right people, they hired a Taco Truck to cater the event and the food was fantastic!  I swooped in at the last minute to help with a few little details, but really the credit all goes to the honorees' wives, Karina and Maryam.  And they did it on a pretty tight budget...this goes to show you don't need to spend a ton to have lots of fun!  Here are some photos of the event!

We created the menu for the Taco Truck and the Bar out of black foam core and tissue flowers:

Small paper lanterns on bare branches - this photo doesn't do it justice!

The flowers were bought locally and arranged in Michael's $3 vases:

 More lanterns....

This party was not for the faint of heart!

Guests arrive at sunset and the party begins to glow!

 TACO TRUCK!!

Love the large globe "Christmas" lights and lantern combo  - it made a wonderful "ceiling" to the outdoor room and provided festive ambient lighting!

If you need help styling your next event, let us know!  We always have ideas from the full party plan to help with themes, lighting and those fun little things that take your party to the next level!

Cheers!
Becky
