On the PrOwl

Browsing through the latest West Elm catalog and seeing this fun lamp reminded me how much I love the owl as a decorative motif, particularly come Fall.

The company is also selling these sweet mercury owls, with 50% of the purchase price going towards St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.  Nice job West Elm!

Z Gallerie, always a fan favorite for affordable accessories, offers this ceramic owl vase...

And these owl lanterns would look fantastic on my front steps Halloween night!  I'd pick them up from Pottery Barn if I didn't avoid the mall at virtually all costs...

But don't just visit the "big box" decorating stores to get in on the owl action - there are plenty of vintage and retro owl items to be had out there...

I found this beautiful silver wine stopper at my girlfriend's fabulous consignment shop... for $6.  But it feels wrong to steal from friends like that...

I'm super-tempted by this gorgeous brass owl knocker listed on my favorite esty shop High Street Market.

Other etsy owl favorites include this funky vintage owl lantern, owl candle holders, and these adorable cast plaster owls available in any color!

And one of my twins is dressing in this sweet owl from Pottery Barn Kids...

Happy Howloween!
Deb

  1. Oh, that is so sweet! I love that cute owl. PBK has been our go-to Halloween source ... but now that my boys are five ... I've been forced to cave in to the SUPERHERO. Sigh. I miss my cute monkeys ... along with jon-jons, smocking and all other things they've outgrown! ;-)
