Saf's Nursery on Apartment Therapy

Apartment Therapy offered up the sweetest nursery on its blog the other day.  Lucky little Saf has a fab  personal pad designed by his creative folks, using his grandfather's personal collections as inspiration.

Love how the IKEA dhurrie (their "splurge" for the room) contrasts so nicely with the deep navy walls.

Saf's mom crafted this DIY mirror as a knock-off/alternative to the pricey Restoration Hardware rope mirror.  See her step by step instructions here!

Saf not only got his name from his grandfathers, but he also received a ton of their cool stuff!  Good thing Mom's got the eye to pull it all together so beautifully.

And here's the proud room owner!  He's still such a little guy... Let's hope he doesn't become obsessed with Diego wallies, Lighting McQueen sheets, or a Toy Story piggy bank in which case this cohesive design scheme is shot to hell!

  1. I love the dark blue with yellow. Such a fresh color pallette for a nursery. I also love the idea of using Grandpa's memorobelia, makes the room so special and unique.
