I was super inspired last week by Erin's post about Bryonie Porter's gorgeous wallpapered vintage furniture:
So during naptime yesterday, I avoided more pressing tasks like cooking, unloading the dishwasher, and doing laundry by giving it a go on my latest dump find. Here's the before:
And the after, though it's far from done:
It was super easy. I removed the glass hardware knobs, applied my Chiang Mai scraps to the drawer with spray adhesive (doing my best to line up the seams of three different pieces), reattached the hardware by poking a hole through the "wallpaper" (ahem, that's between me and the folks staffing the color copier at Staples) and that was pretty much that. This weekend the rest of the desk needs to catch up with the finished drawer. What color should I paint it? I'm deciding between the deep orange of the flower petals, and the light blue background.... Which would you do?

I think i would do the orange. There seems to be alot of that in the girls art work hung above .You can always re paint if you move the table to a different location!
