Designer Spotlight: Amanda Nisbet

I've been crushing on the colorful rooms of designer Amanda Nisbet for quite some time now.  She combines elements of classicism and modernism seamlessly, and is not afraid to take occassional risks with a bold statement piece that always just works.

Nisbet's bedroom designs are my favorites.  Notice how the headboards, dust ruffles and roman shades work so beautifully together:

Nisbet also has a major knack for creating enticing foyers.  The horizontal stripe one below is an all-time favorite of mine:

You'll notice a couple of different versions of the marble foyer with the insanely awesome window treatment below.  Which do you prefer?  Buffet lamps or urns?  Crystal ball ("I see textile design in your future") or dainty vases with yellow flowers?

Some other colorful favorites from Nisbet:

If you're loving Nisbet's designs as much as I am, the good news is that several of the pieces you see in her work are now available for sale from Living Livelier sponsor Decorator Tag Sale:

Green Tufted Chair, $1000

Moroccan Lanter, $2020

Black X Table, $100

In addition, Nibet recently launched a stunning fabric collection available through Holland & Sherry.  Some highlights:

Enjoy!
