I'm loving the graceful and elegant apartment of Candace Bushnell and Charles Askegard, as photographed by William Waldron for Elle Decor. You'll recognize Bushnell as the author of the Sex and the City series, and Askegard performs as a principal dancer for New York City Ballet. She's clearly gorgeous and talented, and judging from my countless elevator rides with him when I worked at Lincoln Center, he ain't half bad either.
The apartment was designed by Susan Forristal, who incorporated some serious Hollywood-Regency-glam, including gold-leafed sheaf sconces, a palm-leaf lamp, and 1920s mirrored side tables in the living room. In the bedroom, I love how Forristal echoed the feel of the Madeline Weinrib Mandala rug (all time favorite thing ever; have it in my foyer) in the antique Suzani bedspread. Check out the photos below!
Love the wheat sconces. Could live without the self-adoring washroom! ;)
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing about the bathroom Carole!
