Yesterday, when the mailman slid the October issue of Coastal Living through my door slot, I wasn't really in the mood. Something about being faced with the beautiful beach and coastal spreads, just as our New England mornings are turning cool and crisp, seemed like a cruel reminder that summer is kaput.
Luckily, I forged ahead, and was totally blown about by this years Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House (interiors by Urban Grace Interiors), and it is amazing.
I feel like the go-to color for beach or coastal homes is always blue, which is nice, but I love seeing this home done in relaxing shades of greens and tans, with plenty of natural tones and textures thrown in. How awesome is the quatrefoil coffee table?
In the dining room, the hand-made ceramic plates, trimmed in gold, make a lovely graphic statement.
The lighting throughout the house, all by Circa, is to to die for. Love these oversize pendants lined in gold.
This is the one spot I think they may have missed - not loving the bright blue on the other side of the kitchen. Kind of seems irrelevant/random when this color is not represented elsewhere in the home.
In the "game room", the artwork helps distract from the big flatscreen. Nicely done...
And how fun is this ping pong table, which can double as an extra dining table with the net removed?
More lush yumminess in the bedrooms and baths....
A mirror hung in front of the windows is a trend that I keep noticing...
Built in bunks for the littles ones, both boys and girls. I love how each bed has its own lighting.
And saving the best for last... an in-home theater that is actually elegant and gracious, thanks to grasscloth covered walls and ceilings, linens settees, and.... I die... the Hicks pendant from Circa, a personal favorite!
What do you think? Move in condition?
