Hopefully, you've already been tuning in to Million Dollar Decorators, the Bravo reality series featuring five (alternately whacky, hilarious, flaming, obnoxious) Los Angeles decorators. I was initially appalled by the behavior exhibited by the stars on the premiere issue, but have come around and look forward to this guilty pleasure every Tuesday night! And, I've picked up a tip or two about gracefully handling demanding clients.
And premiering tonight at 8pm on HGTV is Design Star 2011, where twelve designers compete for their own design show on the network. Last season, I enjoyed watching the teams tackle various design problems (with drastically varying levels of success)!

Next Saturday July 16th, also on HGTV, Home by Novogratz will premiere. You may have watched the design adventures of this couple last season on Nine by Design on Bravo, which I blogged about here and here. Well, this summer the couple and their seven kids have moved over to HGTV to tackle a different makeover each week. Their stuff is always eclectic, original and off-beat - looking forward to seeing what they come up with this season!
